You sigh sleepily and press your face into Ludwigs shoulder.
________, he says. You ignore him, wrapping your arms around his neck. He shakes his head at you, ________, I think maybe we should get to bed.
Im comfortable, you say, Dont move me. You made me go running this morning, and Im tired, so Im not moving.
Exactly why we should be in bed, Liebe.
He shifts himself so that you nearly fall from his lap and to the floor, but your clutch around his neck keeps you held on.
Stop moving! you whine, hanging on to him like a monkey.
He sighs and says, Fine, before picking you up bridal style.
you wail quietly as he makes his way towards the stairs, avoiding bashing your legs on the lounge doorway. You dont stop wailing as he carries you up the stairs and to your bedroom. He suddenly pauses, ________, how did
You frown and pull away from his shoulder to glance at what he was looking at. Then you giggle.
How did the dogs get into our room? Ludwig asks, putting you down on your feet. You shrug, knowing all too well that you were the one who let them in there. You always do, so they can take a nap on the bed during the day whilst Ludwig is out, but you normally make sure theyre out of the room by the time he gets home.
I dont know, you lie.
Well, theyre not staying here, Ludwig says, looking at them lying across your double bed. Blackie, the German Shepherd, is lying at the end of the bed. Aster, the Golden Retriever, and Berlitz, the Doberman, are lying up the bed, heads on your pillows. You giggle again at the sight of them, totally relaxed in your spots.
Blackie, Berlitz, Aster- The three dogs all raise their heads, ready to obey their masters commands.
No, wait! you interrupt, sitting down next to Aster and stroking his head gently, Cant they stay?
Liebe, theyre taking up all of the bed! he complains, looking specifically at Berlitz on his side of the bed.
What if they moved over a bit? Cmon, you cant kick them off! you whine, pulling a sad face at him whilst cupping the golden dogs snout in your hands. You then move his head up and down a little bit, saying in a gruff voice, Vati, please dont put us in the doghouse.
He sighs. Why does he find it so hard to say no to you?
Fine, he says, rolling his eyes and starting to unbutton his shirt.
You grin and say to the two dogs on your pillows, Aster, Berlitz, cmon. Move over. You pat the end of the bed where Blackie is and they grunt as they get up and move down to where you were patting. Ever since youve started dating Ludwig the dogs have, to Ludwigs surprise, obeyed you more and more.
Good boys, you say, nodding happily before you get changed. As you and Ludwig climb into the bed, you realise your feet get stopped by the dogs. They are three big breeds, after all.
Ludwig mumbles, clearly having the same problem as you.
Shush. You wrap your arms around him, effectively stopping him from complaining, but, of course, youre both still squashed up at the end of the bed. You think about this for a moment before edging towards Ludwig, causing Blackie to crawl up the bed and lie next to you. You giggle, Hows that?
You do both have more legroom now, even if you are pressed up against each other. The German puts his arms around you and kisses your forehead. You are now both squashed together as close as you can be at the edge of the bed.
I would say problem solved, he says, but-
No, you say, kissing his lips to stop him talking, No complaining.
Shush! you grin in the dark, his face close enough to see you smiling. Theres a short moments silence, but then you say, Im not comfortable at all.
He chuckles and says, Me either.
Well, maybe if you just- You try to move towards him a little bit more, but he stops you.
No, wait, there isnt any more room-
Oh, come on, I bet theres loads of room.
________, theres not a- AHH!
Waah! You both cry out as the two of you topple off of the bed and to the floor. Theres another short silence, but then you burst out laughing, holding your stomach as you lie on your back. Ludwig props himself up on once elbow to look at you, but then starts to laugh, too, shaking his head at you.
As you laugh, you wrap your arms around his neck and he pulls you in for a hug. The two of you stay like this, giggling quietly, until you hear movement coming from the bed. You both sit up and look to see that Berlitz and Aster have recovered their spaces on your and Ludwigs sides of the bed.
Ludwig raises an eyebrow as he looks at you and you grin, awkwardly as you mutter, Please dont put me in the doghouse.
